Jarred Johnson

Who is Jarred?

I’m running for president because I understand what it means to fall through the cracks — and more importantly, what it takes to climb back up. I understand how hard it is to care for a family when you’re just trying to keep the lights on. I know the emotional weight of being let down by systems that were supposed to help.

I’ve always been someone who cared. Even in the chaos of growing up between multiple family members’ homes and foster care, I cared about the people around me, the schools I was in, and the communities I called home. I saw firsthand how outdated policies and disconnected leadership failed those communities — how they created cycles that felt impossible to break.

I didn’t come from privilege, and I didn’t take a straight path to leadership.

Because real change doesn’t come from the top down — it starts in classrooms, in kitchens, in neighborhoods like the one I grew up in. And together, we can build a country where no one gets left behind.
